How to prepare for a newborn session at home

A newborn session at home is easier than you think if you prepare three things: temperature, light and your baby’s rhythm.

Temperature

Babies are photographed nearly undressed so the room needs to be about 28°C. Switch on the heater thirty minutes before we arrive.

Choose the room with the largest window. Soft window light always beats flash. We bring a fabric backdrop and a reflector.

Feed the baby right before we arrive. A full, sleepy baby is a perfect model.
