A small studio that works slowly

We take at most ten sessions a month. That number lets us sit down with every client before the first frame.

“My first film camera was a graduation gift from my father. It still sits on the shelf, and it still works.”

Aura opened in 2014 in an attic on Huyen Street with a rented softbox and a grey backdrop. Our first clients were a couple who found us on a photography forum.

Today there are four of us, a 180 sqm studio with a north-facing window and the same way of working: ask first, shoot after.

Duc opened Aura in 2014 with a rented softbox and a grey backdrop. He shoots weddings and couples and believes natural light always comes before retouching.

Yen specialises in portraits and newborns. She is endlessly patient with babies and starts every session with a cup of tea with the client.

Commercial & fashion
Quoc Anh leads commercial projects: lookbooks, still life and campaigns. He works from the brief and always delivers on time.

Colour & retouch
Chau grades every photo by hand: true skin tones, no flattened highlights and no texture wiped away.
